Wanasah: a Qatari slang word meaning "having a good time."
Wanasah Cafe is located in Doha,Qatar where the FIFA world cup 2022 is going to take place. It is a remodel of an existing restaurant. The owner wants the new design to promote culture, sustainability and the world cup.

The Design
The new design complements the building's traditional architecture and uses the traditional Qatari shelving method as a design feature in the space.
Colors used mix warm tones of the desert with blue hues of the ocean reflecting Qatar's identity. Furniture choice mixes between traditional seating style while giving it a coastal feel by using light color oak wood and using blues instead of reds. Materials such as glass and rattan are also used.
Accent lighting creates focal points guiding the international visitors to read more about culture and creates an ambience in the space.

The cafe is separated into an indoor and outdoor dining and areas. Parents can monitor their kids through large glass windows area whether they are seated indoors or outdoors.

The FF&E mixes between the traditional Qatari style the coastal style, taking cues from the location. The materials used are durable promoting sustainability.
